Obituary for Drake Alan Wilmot

Drake Wilmot was born in Enid, Oklahoma on June 24, 1999 to Christine Wilmot and Josh Bennett. Christine married Chris Hempfling a few years later and made a home in Lahoma where Drake would attended Cimarron Public Schools. He later lived with his loving Aunts, Kassie and Sheera, where he graduated with honors from Bixby High School as part of the Class of 2017.

During high school, Drake was a member of the swim team and qualified for state. As a talented swimmer, his first job was as a life guard in Tulsa. His heart was in helping people and he did so in many ways. During high school, he was involved in various civic groups and served as a mentor and counselor for kids at church camps. Drake attended Tulsa Tech and became a National Certified Medical Assistant in order to continue to help and care for people. Community service was important to Drake and he was happy to volunteer wherever he was needed.

Above all, Drake had a passion for the Lord. He always had a message about the Lord to tell you whether you wanted to hear it or not.
